As happy as I am that SCOTUS rejected cert for Kim Davis, can’t help but worry that the conservatives on the court felt it was a bad case to use to reverse Obergefell, not that they don’t plan to reverse it.

With tonight’s vote I will be continuing my moratorium on campaign donations to incumbent Democrats for 2026. Just don’t see the point.

I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not.

Amusing to watch the Great Negotiator absolutely fail to negotiate with the Democrats. They have zero incentive to compromise. None. Why give up the only tool they have, simply to reopen the Government on the Republican’s terms?
