Both of my dogs made it clear this morning that it was indeed possible for it to be too cold for either of them to spend time outside (it was 6℉/-14℃).

Deleted the Washington Post app from my devices and canceled my decade+ subscription. What an idiotic business decision by Bezos.

Hard to believe that blocking online advertising and canceling paid subscriptions would damage a free press. Inconceivable, really. Don’t they know information wants to be free?

As a child in the 70s my parents would warn me off of doing one terrible thing or another with the caution that it would be added to my “permanent record.” They were right, of course, except that “permanent” is now spelled “Palantir” in the 21st Century.

Came close to telling a boomer I know “just fucking retire already”. They keep twisting the dials and pushing the buttons on systems they don’t understand and turn to me to fix the resulting mess. Hell, I want to retire already and I’m 58.

Something tells me that upgrading to Tahoe at the start of a month of multiple trips is a bad idea. As stupid as I am, I’m not that stupid to tempt fate with an upgrade right now. Plus Tahoe seems…not quite ready for release?
