Tidying up some folders and came across this clip from 2009. Over the hills from Sa Pa to Bac Ha on a rather inclement monsoon day. Huge drop on one side, torrents of water and the occasional boulder coming down the other. Visibility... less than ideal.😁 Trip well worth it for the Sunday market

I've realised that my kids' only experience of certain songs is from my practising them ad nauseam on tenor uke. It's a bit jarring - but a pleasant surprise😁 - when they hear something so familiar being sung by Ted Hawkins or JJ Cale

Has to be this little beast. Tough as nails, great lenses. Doesn't have the cachet of the K1000, not a "pro" machine like the LX, but I kept it over both of them. Chuck it in a bag or a pocket, take it anywhere, and it gets out of the way and lets you take pictures

You usually hear the red squirrels before you see them - the distinctive scratching noise as they gnaw the side out of the black walnut shells

He goes apeshit if he as much as suspects a cat may be in the vicinity, but will allow squirrels and rabbits to do their thing within metres of him without so much as acknowledging them🤔

I took this photo in the Showgrounds in May 2007 & posted it online describing him as "one of the brightest prospects in the league". Tonight, at 37 and surely at the tail end of a stellar career, he put in 98 minutes of pure class as Ireland beat Portugal. Seamie Coleman - stone cold legend

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice In Chains
(Whoever started this had some pretty limited musical horizons)

I'm not religious, but really good food - like this simple Chitarra alla Gricia with lightly smoked guanciale - is pretty close to a spiritual experience

5/6 Project management - Zenkit: Not as intuitive or full-featured as Trello, but it's European
Ride-hailing - Bolt: It's not Uber
Video hosting: PeerTube; Dailymotion - Only using them right now for private videos to share with family. Either works fine for that

4/6 Maps - HERE WeGo; OpenStreetMap: Very hard to compete with Google, but for many tasks they get the job done
Video editor - Kdenlive: Not as user-friendly as the big players, but does what I need it to do
VOIP - Talk360: Not used much. Basically a Skype replacement
