Massive shoutout out to whoever handles the Royal Canadian Air Force’s social media account. They responded to every single comment on their already very solid Trans Day of Remembrance post and they responded like this…

This is the ad Donald Trump woke up furious about.

Would be a shame if it went viral.

Donald Trump's wildly inappropriate reaction to this (quite impressive) piece of Reaganite advertising ought to cause so many people to view the ad he doesn't want them to see that we'll have to rename the Streisand Effect the Ontario Effect.
Ontario launches the perfect ad. Canadians are true brothers 💙🇨🇦

these “divisive issues” are always like, “would Jesus want us to round up poor immigrants, tear them away from their children and throw them in camps,” and it’s really hard to read the Bible and come to any conclusion other than “no, seems like not”

A so called Christian Nation is actually "anti-Christ."
Why?
Because political power is incompatible with the Jesus Way.
The Jesus Way rejects violence, exclusion, and force.

The Jesus Way is the way of the Beatitudes
The Jesus way can never be enforced, only embodied.

Just bought the book. Looking forward to reading it
If you haven’t read Mark Carney’s book “Value(s)”, you should give it a try. He’s been thinking about all this for a long time.

The conservative party should be renamed as the Christian nationalist party. The same people that supported and elected Trump are working to get pp elected.

It's pretty fucked up that Pierre Poilievre refuses to take any questions from the CBC - but Mark Carney will answer questions from shit news outlets like the Western Standard.

Pierre Poilievre supporters defend PP's media censorship. If he gets into power it WILL only get worse.

I have a massive trade deficit with Le Croissant, a lovely French bakery here in Winnipeg. Next time I'm in there I'm going to slap a 25% tariff on them, and make myself pay 25% more for my croissant and coffee.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A “TRADE DEFICIT”—IT’S JUST CALLED “BUYING THINGS.” YOU DO NOT HAVE A TRADE DEFICIT WITH YOUR DENTIST JUST BECAUSE HE NEVER BUYS ANYTHING FROM YOU.

I’m not even sure what would constitute “escalation” from the U.S. gleefully committing a murder-suicide against the entire global economy.
Yes, I've just punched you in the face. But if you retaliate, it will only escalate things.

Absolutely shameful that CTV caved to a disingenuous right-wing pressure campaign instead of standing their ground. It presents even more red flags about the state of the media in Canada.

@rachelgilmore.bsky.social did not deserve to be treated this way.
NEW: CTV cancelled a fact-checking segment in response to political pressure from Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives

It’s stunning how the Executive Producer acknowledges she knows the hate Rachel has to deal with, but says CTV — a large news organization — doesn’t have the “bandwidth” to deal with it, so cuts ties with Rachel and continues to leave her to deal with it on her own. Shameful isn’t even the word.

Don't have the bandwidth to deal with backlash to fact-checking? That's literally the job of a journalistic organization. If there was any question left who pulls the executive's strings at CTV, they showed their whole (CPC) ass here.
