Envy entered the gate of truth to have it bring them to hohenhiem in fma (03), so essentially, yeah, they got their wish. Even if it wasn't as direct as they had hoped.

This being said, envy did, in fact, get his chance to kill hohenhiem, though a hohenhiem of a different world.

03's envy actually really "disappears" after being turned into the gate between our world and theirs. But it's uncertain if envy is actually permanently dead in conquerer of shamballa or not.
