We’re filling the atmosphere with CO2 like a bathtub with water. Most of it stays for millennia.
That is why the cumulative emissions (the total amount, as pictured here) and not yearly emissions determine the amount of #globalwarming.

Amazon birds are failing due to climate change. Many other signals indicate that this vast complex of forest ecosystems is in varying degrees of disruption. The bottom line for us is that enormous biodiversity and gigaton volumes of carbon are being lost.
