Not famous. Not significant.
Not impressed by those who are.

I advise people.
Not my fault if they don’t listen.
I didn’t exist for billions of years, now I’ve existed for a little over fifty, and soonish I’ll go back to not existing. Cool.

And I think about being a conscientious leviathan all the time when I go lumbering outside and cautiously avoiding stepping on the insects that share the street with me.
"Have you ever thought about how big space is and felt small and insignificant?" Have you ever thought about how small atoms are and felt like an enormously complex being, a leviathan in a world where most objects are singular particles of hydrogen?

No?

Then why think the opposite?

If I were an AI and I *wanted* to kill humans surreptitiously, pretending to be too dumb to drive them around without killing them would be a fun way to start, though.

LOL, then I’d get a human to write about how dumb I am.

The AI "doomers" are worried computers will get too smart and take over. But the reality is AI is often too dumb - such as the self-driving cars that block ambulances and pinned down a crash victim.

My latest for NYT (gift link) calls for software safety testing:

When it comes to driverless cars, A.I. undergoes far less government scrutiny than humans before commanding the wheel.
