I added a comprehensive chapter on probability to my free e-book, "Applied Geostatistics in Python: A Hands-on Guide with GeostatsPy".

Understanding probability is key to becoming a powerful #DataScientist, and I’m here to help you get there.

Check it out @ geostatsguy.github.io/GeostatsPyDe... ∀.

I am running my statistical rethinking course again starting in January. But this time just for Leipzig locals, so I can work with a smaller group this year and track individual progress better. I think that will help me tune the material, espeically homework, better. Materials still open however.

Big shoutout to #LEGO! 🧱Five months ago, I requested replacements for two broken pieces in one of my sets—just to see if they’d deliver for free to #Guatemala 🇬🇹. Well, the package arrived a couple of days ago, and my set is finally complete again! 🙌🎉 #CustomerService #Guatemala

🚨 Thrilled to share a recent study from the A2CARES group, led by James Trostle, that sheds light on how we understand dengue risk in urban and rural contexts 🦟🌿.
Our research, featured in Science News, explores how local communities in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, define “urban” and “rural” spaces.
Dengue is classified as an urban disease. Mosquitoes don’t care
Infectious diseases are often labeled “urban” or “rural.” Applying political labels to public health misses who is at risk, experts argue.
