One hell of an opening scene & characters we never thought we’d see in live action, this was a full experience w/X-Men fans in theaters in 2003.
The left and right thirds of the frame are filled with white marble columns that are very close to the camera. Peering into the space between and beyond them, a crystal chandelier hangs above a figure with his head and shoulders down in a pose mimicking that of former President JFK in a painted portrait on the wall to the figure’s left. U - Unbreakable

Our introduction to Mr. Glass & The Overseer & one of the best grounded comic book stories in film then & now. A slow burn worthy of the payoff.
The frame shows a perspective looking into a makeshift health exam space where silver metal frames holding curtains are placed together to create some privacy. We’re looking straight into the space with curtains hanging in most of the outer thirds of the frame. A balding man with short black hair and wearing a white lab coat is standing within the edge of the curtain on the right side of the frame. His back and left shoulder are toward us as he is facing another man who is sitting on an exam table, talking to him. The bald man sits on the exam table with his hands placed on either side of him and his legs hanging off in a similar wide spread. He is placed in the very center of the frame. His posture is relaxed but curious as his shoulders are raised and neck is craned in curiosity about what the doctor is telling him. A small group quickly realizes they’re in a time loop resetting every 2 mins but they keep their memories. Practical problem-solving & great storytelling.
In a closed room, a square table set with food is on the floor in the middle of the frame. Q - A Quiet Place

An interesting play on alien horror stories where sound is both target and weapon.

O - Over the Moon

A wonderful blending of science & mythology. Ken Jeong is perfect as glow-green Gobi w/humor, drama, & song. Phillipa Soo rocks Chang’e.

N - Nimona

A rich balance of silly high jinks, dark humor, & heavy topics. LGBTQUIA+ representation; “I’m not a girl, I’m a shark.”
In a scene from animated film “Nimona,” the character of Ballister takes up the entire left side of the frame. This is a blast & covers so much ground from family dynamics to tech & has great representations of LGBTQUIA+ & neurodivergence.
From the view point of a robot’s HUD, it tries to image match a dog in front of it in center frame. Search results appear to the right of the centered search image and go between a dog and a pig with ellipses and a question mark under each entry as the robot cannot identify whether it is a dog or pig.

As much as we quote “Third time around!” from “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (1966), it only clicked this morning that Erronius is Buster Keaton and now I can’t believe it didn’t click waaaaay sooner.

A zany screen adaptation of the play, that is pure fun. “Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight.”
