I think my favorite bit is the broad overview of some story patterns that supports my pet preoccupation: watching the same traits and trade-offs pop up in every kind of storytelling. 80s sitcoms? 60s cape books? 2020s webtoons?

Mass audience + short, repeatable format=go easy on that continuity!

More proof for my theory that since the dawn of time, wherever there is an artist thinking “I shall capture a human’s image,” there’s a human thinking, “what do I do with my hands?”
