Looks like you’re beholden to a number of industries and lobbyists. Can you truly represent the people?

I’m not familiar with Rufo but generally speaking I tend to think the more perspectives and info the better. Even if it’s whack, at least you learn where the whack is coming from and can address it better. It’s his actions that matter and the article does cite applaudable votes and positions.

Doesn’t seem like a big deal. Unless there’s more to it.

Depends how you define corrupt. The leadership has been abysmal. AOC tried to bring them into a new age. They’d rather pretend they know best to hold onto their power and legacies

Just a little manipulation going on by the vested interests.

TikTok moves much faster than other social media, not that any of it is good.

I’m thinking it might be someone who got a life-saving claim denied.

Walking the picket line doesn’t solve big systemic problems

The district needs a lot of financial oversight and expertise, not like none. This is reason enough to recall Rankin imo.

Also when and who decided this would be a good starting point? That every school needs to be able to serve every kid? Maybe it is better but I don’t recall the board sharing any due diligence on this.

So much of it makes no sense and some of her statements in that meeting were like 😵‍💫🤯😳 Seems she’s looking for Jones to take the fall. He must be going out of his mind. A weak leader but also prob was trying to keep his job by carrying out the board’s (impossible) marching orders. Is that your read?

What’s happening to The Atlantic? Noticed this wacky take this morning

Here’s a pretty important basic

It’s also about messaging and doing the same thing over and over and not learning

This was really good and talks about Dems possibly learning the wrong lessons
November 16, 2024 at 5:31 PM
That all makes sense but what explains lower turnout in the state of Washington?
November 15, 2024 at 3:31 PM
Also the problem runs deep and is real. People just don’t care what academics say or which numbers look better now compared to last year.
November 15, 2024 at 3:00 PM
1) Many ppl and headlines use those exact words 2) It doesn’t matter bc even saying all the things you just did sends the same message. It’s about how the message makes people feel. And if they’re not doing fine, they’ll feel gaslit and like the party doesn’t plan to change anything

No, the economy can speak for itself. People experience it
November 14, 2024 at 6:37 PM
And don’t confuse little improvements with “it’s good”. Dems are great with piecemeal bandaids here and there. But have big systemic problems that bandaids won’t help with. The last graph depicts what Elizabeth Warren’s series “The Collapse of the Middle Class” is about.

60 years ago a family did quite well on one income having a house, healthcare, retirement, vacations, whatever they needed. Do yourself a favor and watch Elizabeth Warren’s series “The Collapse of the Middle Class”. It’s not about laziness. Also see NAFTA.
