@chicagocta.bsky.social any red line issues? No 95th bound trains at all at Argyle for the last 15 minutes and nothing on the schedule?

What's an opinion you have that would make a bunch of people angry?

Write it down in a notebook called, "Why would I want to make a bunch of people angry right now?" and then close that notebook and have some tea.

"The problem of food deserts will not be solved without the rediscovery of the Robinson-Patman Act. Requiring a level pricing playing field would restore local retailers’ ability to compete."

A good read on the Reagan administrations choice to end the enforcement of the RPA and its consequences.

A great conversation about policing, social and environmental investment as a means of crime reduction, where police help and where they don't, how we handle disorder/reform, and more! Worth the listen(about 45m)!
What do we know about the impact of police on crime? Jennifer Doleac tells Jerusalem Demsas that “the best estimate is that you prevent one murder a year for every 10 to 17 police officers that are hired.”

"If you’re able, give yourself a buffer day before going back to work, Dr. Gallagher advised. Use that time to rest and reset: Unpack if you traveled, get groceries and ease into life back home so the transition is less abrupt."

We started doing this years ago - total game changer and great advice!
The return to work after a vacation can be jarring for anyone. But the transition is even tougher for people who are burned out from their jobs. Here's what can help.

I'm whelmed. I wouldn't mind these kind of signings if the Cubs were serious about other top shelf free agents. Taking a chance on a guy who showed great stuff last year (after surgery and a career of mediocrity) is fine if you're also in on more certain, high performing players. The Cubs aren't.
