And here is it. Automation always comes down to efficiency. Not quality. Not learning. Efficiency. We need to give educators the time they need to do the job, not continually ask them to try to do more with less, slowly replacing their expertise with algorithmic slop.
As I’m sure you know through your book, large studies are just starting to surface. For now we have our observational data. On the impact of feedback in general, that is well documented. Our suggestion is one that gets to impactful feedback more efficiently. Thanks for reading!

To be an effective teacher, you cannot be afraid of confrontation. In fact, you need to be skilled at it.

Hearing from a govt contractor that Dept of Education is terminating What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) contracts.
WWC is a website that rigorously evaluates education policies, programs, and products to determine what's effective and not. It's an invaluable tool for school, district, state leaders

No fan of unchecked billionaires but any research that the dept of ed does not move the needle on actual classrooms Sorry not sorry
FFS, these goons. Without educational research and data how are we expected to select evidence-based best practices for our districts? They want educators to fly blind just like the aviation industry. #edusky
Trump Admin. Suddenly Cancels Dozens of Education Department Contracts

It doesn't matter what age your students are, academically, socially, or traditionally.

Their age is at a pivotal point in their development. Full stop.
