Pardoning Hunter Biden absolutely rates, there, but just barely for me relative to the rest of it. The periods of time in which the government affirmatively worked to make anyone's lives better/anything fairer were all outliers and barely existed within my lifetime. The work ahead is mostly new.

the japan model of closing between midnight and 5am just can't work here, at least in new york. i really believe that's a huge deterrent in keeping the subway clean and reliable but it's kinda impossible for that to translate
