First noticed Kosuke Yoshida in Garupan, where his exaggerated acting fit the quirky cast. Wouldn't have expected that he'd become a go-to person for henshin, but special sequences that turn fundamentally standard movements into something magical are also a great fit for his densely packed animation

Also like that her fansa pose specifically has one of the hands half extended, so I always think she's about to self-boycott the heart

Stylistically I've come to enjoy Miho Sugimoto's designs, as I'd expected. Size & shape of the eyes and the way they lead to emphasizing the cheekbones make them look 90s-inspired. Makes me wish the more veteran ADs in the team take that all the way

I love that the motw are set in direct contrast with the brilliance of the idols, named pitch black like they're about to put an end to life itself, but actually they're just your local team's supporters after a particularly bad loss

As much as I love Tanaka's celebrations of Precure's legacy, I like it when the series themselves have this irreverent spice that allows them to occasionally deflate their own hype. Add to that a mascot so awful (praise) it might be a Pripara expat, and I found Cure Idol's misadventures quite funny

She may have been cooking with this one though, given her predecessors. You never know when a pet may be a magical girl

21 years into this franchise and this might be the Precure least informed about what Precure is
