When I started Yakuza 0, I had no idea at all about the story other than Kiryu being the main character. The story early on has some awesome moments, but it's mainly this very serious, dramatic affair.

And then Majima happens.

And that's without mentioning all the AP regeneration I've managed to stack. I've been able to just shoot my way through most encounters for a while now, even on Expert difficulty.

That being said, I'm loving it!

The PS2 had a LOT of bangers, but few were as unapologetically joyful. Plus, it had some unique gameplay ideas that I don't believe have ever been replicated by anyone else. I still fire up the remake from time to time.

That's a shame. I played through Rising (the metroidvania prequel) and really enjoyed the worldbuilding, so I was looking forward to more of that.

I still need to finish Intergrade before moving on to Rebirth, so that's going to be a while yet, but it's good to hear you're enjoying it!

I really want to play Rebirth and Hundred Heroes in the future!

Oh, I didn't mean to make it seem like I'm against buying day-one (literally bought Oblivion 10 minutes after the livestream 😶). I just wanted to add to his point that sometimes it is better to wait a little bit.

Not just cheaper, but also better! It's always a safe bet to assume there will be patches and additional content released in the next few months unless told otherwise by the studio.
