I looked up Expedition 33's OST now that I don't have to worry about potential spoilery in the titles and wow, it's like 150 songs.

Haven't gone through them all, but my guess is they have every single variation of every single song in there. That's awesome!

Just finished Expedition 33 and boy, did I love it. Act 3 felt a little underbaked compared to the rest, but nothing that would distract from all the stuff that makes it great.

This might be the best game I've played all year!

Just found a picto called "Auto Death" that does exactly what it says in the name.

Why.

There's a lot I want to say about Expedition 33, but it's all spoilery as hell, so I'll just say I'm loving the way the companions interact with each other.
Even the best RPGs out there often have difficulty showing companions talking with anyone other than the MC, so that's a nice change of pace.

Watching Frieren, there's this flashback of her old party fighting a dragon. At first look, it looks pretty cool: There's Himmel and Eisen charging in, Frieren standing ready to fire off a spell...

And then there's Heiter.

Heiter looks like he's just annoyed that a dragon interrupted his reading.

I've been playing Expedition 33 for the last couple days, and it really is amazing in terms of atmosphere, world design, music, and writing.

The combat, though, started fun, but I think it's a bit too easy to break. Early on in Act 2, I can already go 8 turns before the enemy has a chance to act.

This is something I've noticed even within the same franchise.

For example, Origins was the last Assassin's Creed game I've played. Why would I accept paying $70 for Shadows when I can easily get either Odyssey or Valhalla for $12 (well, R$40 actually) on the next sale?
Xbox said this week it will begin selling games at $80. For all but the top products, this price hike may prove to be a critical mistake. Why would people pay $80 for a decent game when they can get a great one for $30?

Players Have Too Many Options to Spend $80 on a Video Game
As Xbox announces a price hike, the year’s best-reviewed games are all budget titles

Keeping to the tradition of obsessively playing a Bethesda game for dozens of hours and stopping before even touching the main quest, I'm officially all Oblivion'd out.

Next step: waiting a few months for some much-needed performance patches and for people far smarter than me to figure out modding.

Just found out about Algolemeth, a game that mixes Auto Battlers and Dungeon Crawlers, where you program the AI logic for your party members and let them loose inside a dungeon.

Sounds right up my alley. :D
Algolemeth on Steam
"Create AI and Conquer the Dungeon." Algolemeth is a dungeon RPG where you send golems equipped with program into a dungeon for fully automated exploration. Enhance the AI and, through trial...

The best thing Oblivion has over Skyrim is the fact that every piece of food is classed as an alchemical ingredient.

So I can go into an inn, buy up all their food, smush it all into "Restore Fatigue potions" and sell them back to the innkeeper for 20x the price.

Overpriced smoothies for everyone!

I've never found a gacha game that I enjoy enough to keep playing despite the monetization, but I keep trying them anyway just out of curiosity.

So here we go again.

Someone should tell them PCs don't usually have touch screens, though...

Just found out monsters can spawn beyond Cyrodiil's borders, and they're unable to cross over the invisible wall either.

I don't think I've ever done one of those, so hey.

As soon as I got out of the tutorial sewers, I shot a couple arrows straight up in the sky and I felt overjoyed, in the sense that it brought way more happiness than it reasonably should, to find out they do, in fact, fall back down.

It really is the Oblivion I remember from all those years ago.

Welp, they did it. Oblivion Remastered is out and I really want it.

You know, out of all the extraordinarily over the top situations I've seen in anime over the years, I think Zaregoto takes the cake.

The whole sequence reminds me of Agent Morgan from Deadly Premonition recounting some of his previous cases to the Greenvale Police.

(Spoilers for Zaregoto!)

I was gonna remark how Oblivion Remaster releasing today would cause the unfortunate effect of driving attention away from Expedition 33, but then I found out there's actually 244 games releasing on Steam this week alone!

Granted, a bunch of those are the usual hentai puzzles and asset flips but...

I finished Promise Mascot Agency yesterday! Short and sweet, just the sort of thing I needed after spending way too much time on Cyberpunk.

Also, to anyone who might see this, an important reminder:

A bird decided to nest on my backyard lemon tree, now I can't grab any more lemons for fear of shaking it too much. :(

They ARE cute, though.

But I still want my lemons.
