Owning the president > being the president
Well, in the Star Trek time line from 2049-2079 we have World War 3 and post atomic horror, but then we get to move to the egalitarian post-scarcity world. I won't be around for that, but my hope my grandchildren will see that world.
We might be on an accelerated track for WW3.

I agree, but it is really heartbreaking to see how many of our children have no motivation. There is a hopelessness, and a very much "why bother" approach to education. All they see is their adults working to the bone at dead end jobs and never getting ahead.
