This #tweetorial will run you through umbrella studies at the ENA. As you may already know, a study groups together data submitted to the archive and controls its release date. Umbrella studies are study objects in the ENA which provide hierarchical grouping of other studies

1/14 Programmatic submissions are completed by preparing your submissions as XML documents and either sending them to ENA using a program such as cURL or using the Webin Portal. This #tweetorial will run you through submission of raw read data using the programmatic route.

Happy #InternationalBeerDay! The hero of which is the humble brewers yeast, Sacchromyces cerevisiae. @ENASequence has over 170,000 sequence records for this species and more than 150,000 raw read data sets open to the public. Small but mighty!

Happy #WorldSnakeDay! 🐍 Did you know that @ENASequence has 25 TeraBases of raw read data archived for the Serpentes suborder? As well as more than a quarter of a million sequence records! Search for the Serpentes tax ID (8570) in the ENA Browser or a specific snake species!
