also save your vege scraps (onion & garlic skins, peels, cutoffs etc) & store in a large ziploc bag in the freezer. boil & simmer them with some salt & a bay leaf for an hour to have an endless supply of vege stock for soups curries etc. adds so much flavor & nothing is wasted!
