Like the game it spawned from, sublime and infuriating in equal measure. Whoever decided that what Outer Wilds needed was instant-fail stealth sections should be shot into space. But, god, no game does a sense of discovery like this one.

A very good detective game in the clothes of a 1980s Sierra text parser adventure. Rather impressed how this takes that retro framework and builds something much more complex and interesting. Some bits of frustration, but I ended up being really taken with this.

I still can't believe I love the "Bloodborne but it's Pinocchio fighting steampunk robots" game so much. A wonderful DLC to a game that, let me state once again, I cannot believe I love. And, hey, they managed to add a little bit of non-linearity to these levels! Neat!

Hell yeah man! Real masterclass in level design over here. I love Indiana Jones and I love im-sims and I never would have thought to put those two things together, even though it feels WILDLY obvious in retrospect.

Boss fights too long, too numerous! Otherwise: a joyful platforming experience, full of creative ideas. Love that every level has a strong, clear concept. Felt like a real mark every time I got excited to see references to PS1 RPGs but it is what it is.

Probably my least favorite of these expansions. And yet I love my little Golden Idol treats and I consistently hunger for more

I like these levels less than the 1+2 ones, but is it because they’re worse or because they weren’t seared into my brain in adolescence? Don’t matter, the core gameplay of THPS is one of the greatest, so I had an amazing time with this.

As someone who grew up with the original Shadowgate, this is military grade nostalgia. And as an adventure game, it's....alright. It's fine. Kind of fitting for the pedigree, though, as it's not like the original was some masterclass in puzzle design.
