One of my absolute favorites. I love Gene Tierney in anything and I loved Clifton Webb in The Razors Edge. He nailed the character Maugham created.

I thought Apple was racist during the last presidential run.

I know induction is the eco and healthy version and I know they’ve made huge leaps in usability - but the caveman in me says “yeah, cook on fire”.

On the the care side they keep working, charging Medicare instead of insurance. On the insurance side, the need for administration remains so some jobs shift from private to public. All industries have a life cycle so let this one die for the greater good. It works in every other developed country.

Love it for cycling. It’s imperfect as all cycling directions but it gives lots of info on what’s protected, what’s busy, how much elevation, etc.

The best part is that both paths accomplish the same goal. Giving power back to the people is the biggest slap you can land on the powerful’s face.

Well, mass exodus is one way to lower home prices. Campaign promise fulfilled.

THEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE?!

(caps for emphasis)

It’s not. I’m empathetic and believe people are “victims” of their biology and circumstances but when it comes pedophiles I fall back on eye for an eye. Whatever physical and psychological damages he caused should be repaid upon him. Being wealthy in a non-palace home else ain’t enough.

When the other game was also being covered on an ESPN network no less! I don’t pay for Sportsnet so this was one of those rare times I could watch and my cheap 50” TV was reduced to a 13” box.

Best news! That stretch can be murder when riding a Costco loaded cargo bike.

We do what we must for good quality spreadable butter.
October 22, 2025 at 2:42 PM
I live in one of Pittsburgh’s many old row homes. This one in particular has no central heating/cooling in the kitchen so I feel your pain. I end up keeping the butter in a different (heated) room once it cools down. It’s still not “summer spreadable” but it does last longer.

“Aging white athlete” syndrome. It effects 9 out 10 white dudes in the NFL that should have f’ing retired already. Tom Brady was vaccinated (well, botoxed) against it.

And maybe I’ll get the Federal southbound bike lane back! Always seems to be a Starbucks customer parked in it right at the most dangerous part (right before the intersection).

Not Tern specific but the thing I end up using the most is one of those cargo nets like the below. They make hauling on a deck or rack much easier.
Cargo Web
The PDW bike cargo net is the perfect companion for your wire basket. Inspired by the natural engineering of spider webs they are strong, stretchy, and reflective.

I love this style of art. I don’t know what it’s called but it reminds me of Grant Wood.
