Philanthropaths have been manufacturing consent for carbon capture and storage for decades. They use discretionary funding to shape the messaging and narratives of climate campaigners. This is why climate campaigners are virtually silent about the CCS boom
I asked the Clean Energy Regulator what their operational definition of 'clean energy' was since the act that creates their agency does not contain a defintion and they recently awarded Santos 614,133 ACCUs for their Moomba CCS project.
Ask about that. wesuspectsilence.wordpress.com/2025/11/24/t...

While Ben was taken out of action, I did what the Stop Adani Alliance who have given up on the fight just like FLACC did after a single direct action on a load testing train would not do. wesuspectsilence.wordpress.com/2022/04/09/a...
A problem of foreseeable demand: Cameron Dick, Adani and the QCA
I stumbled onto the opportunity to make a request for declaration of Adani’s rail corridor as a ‘service’ by chance. I was seeking information from the Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) about …

In the meantime: Camp Binbee was closed, FLACC did one direct action against a load testing train on the Carmichael Rail Network before going home, and the Stop Adani Alliance members stopped investigating.

Bravus Mining and Resources is not a subsidiary. It is a business name owned by Adani Mining Pty Ltd. The Bravus brand is an umbrella covering any number of Adani entities including one of the parties to this SLAPP suit, Carmichael Rail Network Pty Ltd who made the rail contracts.

Carbon capture for fossil fuels is regarded by the IEA boss and many other leaders as 'clean energy'.

"Carbon capture is critical for ensuring our transitions to clean energy are secure and sustainable,” said Dr Fatih Birol, the IEA Executive Director. www.iea.org/news/the-wor...

Imported, short lifespan, non-recyclable, made with composite materials, not fit for purpose (powering the nation and supplying electricity for large scale green hydrogen).

CCS is costing the tax payer, but almost nobody wants to talk about it let alone stop it.
November 25, 2025 at 1:57 AM
The thing about greenwashing is that it involves marketing. CCS isn't being marketed so much as implemented by stealth while the ticky tacky renewables boom provides a distraction and a false sense that a 'just transition' might be taking place.

Labor are phasing in carbon capture and storage. That's why Albo met with the Inpex CEO 3 weeks after getting elected.

MOUs have been signed, consortia formed and exploration acreages approved. wesuspectsilence.wordpress.com/2025/11/24/t...

Someone FOI'd PM&C in 2024 and the disclosure revealled a meeting 3 weeks into Albo's prime ministership with Inpex CEO Takayuki Ueda.

I'm awaiting a response from the Clean Energy Regulator as to their operational definition of 'clean energy'.

Australia's Clean Energy Regulator Act that creates the Clean Energy Regulator does not contain a definition of 'clean energy'. When I phoned them up the operator could not tell me the definition they work with. classic.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/cth... 'clean energy' includes CCS.

Bravus Mining and Resources is not an "operation", it's a business name owned by Adani Mining Pty Ltd used to hide the members of the 'Bravus Group' which is 24+ different Adani entities including the rail proponent Carmichael Rail Network Pty Ltd. I can't understand why nobody wants to know more!

If they were truly commited they would have commended Lidia Thorpe for asking Minister McCarthy in estimates last week what Labor plans to do about the CATSI Act reform process it cancelled. But Davis and Anderson prefer to be very general in their criticisms. parlinfo.aph.gov.au/parlInfo/dow...

I attended a Zoom session with Megan Davis & Pat Anderson. I asked Megan Davis about the Voice Co-Design report and its recommendation for "strengthening existing arrangements", has Labor strengthened existing arrangements? She dismissed the Co-Design report as limited in scope. Nothing about Labor.

My FOI disclosure looking into the deliberations of the Referendum Working Group would have been even more heavily redacted if these amendments had been enacted...it seems.
I've passed it on to the OAIC. wesuspectsilence.wordpress.com/2025/06/06/t...
The Voice, a policy proposal without an implementation plan
New FOI documents show that Labor ministers did not faithfully report the deliberations of the Referendum Working Group.

Note: all references to Carmichael Rail Network Pty Ltd in the Bowen Rail Company submission by Brendan Lane occur in the annexed Carmichael Rail Network Access Policy.

In contrast: the Aurizon submission is very clear on which Adani entity is accountable for rail.
