I'm learning about the 1524-1525 German Peasants' War (thanks to the "Not Just the Tudors" podcast). It feels more than a bit ironic that this uprising against structural oppression was exactly 500 years ago.

Playing green witch. 🧹 16th century smock, kirtle, and cap made by me. Historical fashion has been a longtime passion, but it's only in the last year and a half that I've tried making it myself.
And yes, I did spend the whole day in this outfit!

Why shameless? Because I enjoy making it even though it isn't #historicallyaccurate wool, and even though it doesn't make me any money. I'm trying to avoid #historicalcostume snobbery. Hobbies are supposed to be fun!
