This piece isn't quite done, but it fit the spooky vibes of the season so I'm posting the WIP.

Good news! Anzu is already slated to be in one of the next two series.

Dakotaraptor as a valid genus is still under debate, so until we find more material, Acheroraptor is the Hell Creek Dromeosaurid we know the most about, and even that isn’t much.
A glimpse of the work in progress mock ups at the next two series of Dinosaurs Survived prints and stickers. There are images of 10 birds and 10 dinosaur skulls and the formations the fossils are found in. Stock images of birds are thrown in to work out scale before the posing and illustration begins in earnest.

Painting space is so soothing, just amorphous blobs of color that coalesce into something beautiful.

Much different than me cursing at myself about anatomy, light and shadow.

These are Lancelot and Emmet my caiques.

I've been working on Australovenator for the Dinosaurs Survived series and because we only have a bit of lower jaw I had to reconstruct a skull from the bits and pieces we have of other manoraptorans

I'm happy with how close I got based on new manoraptoran material.

What's next Emma?

Well, I'm for real taking time to work on my sci-fi story. While I do that I'll still poke at my paleoart.

The skulls and birds for the next 2 batches of the Dinosaurs Survived series are in the docket.

But my output is going to slow down (as if it were fast to begin with).

This little shit has had quite the journey. Some pieces can be easy, but some drag you kicking and screaming the entire way.

I got there. And I'm happy with the end result, but boy am I glad to be done.

Soon, soon the new one will join the ranks.

I printed a test and the Styracosaurus piece needs a little tweaking of the highlights and shadows to make it pop a little more. It’s my task for tomorrow and then I’ll order stickers and put everything up on my website.

The duality that is me.

The one on the left is very detailed showing even skull and it's savage in its depiction with blood all over its face as a decapitated Daspeltosaurus head lays at its feet. The other illustration is in black and white with thick outlines and a cartoony appearance as it lifts its leg up like a dog to pee.

As promised to the Styracosaurus fans I've talked to recently, I'm back at poking at this piece.

I'll try to finish it by Twin Cities Con and will have the full gamut of swag: small prints, medium prints, large prints, stickers, and apparel.
