I think he just wanted a free photographer but I was only too delighted to be on official duty for ‘The Raggie’.

In Golspie at present where I had my first ‘big break’ when the late Jim Henderson, editor of the Northern Times, took me with him to photograph the opening of the bridge across the Dornoch Firth. Jim was the heart and soul of this place. I wouldn’t be doing what I am now without his encouragement.
