I wonder how many novice bakers dutifully followed the original recipe? 🤢
A recipe for plum, blackberry and apple crumble (OFM, 19 October, page 24) called for a tablespoon each of salt, vanilla extract and cinnamon in the topping, and a teaspoon of salt flakes in the fruit. This should have been a teaspoon each of vanilla and cinnamon, and a quarter teaspoon of salt, with none of the latter in the fruit. We welcome feedback and aim to correct errors promptly. I went to a lovely book launch in a church in Bath yesterday (Joey Batey's 'It's Not A Cult) and found possibly the best memorial I've ever seen.

No, "Summertime" by George Gershwin is still under copyright in the UK, as it's protected for 70 years after the composer's death. George Gershwin died in 1937, so his music will not enter the public domain until January 1, 2031. While his music is public domain in some other countries like the EU, it is still protected by copyright in the UK.

Great @bafta.org event at the Bristol Beacon last night. I think back to my own climate awakening after watching Age Of Stupid in 2009, the film that made me stop flying. Stories can change us.
