UK will join French and German teams to deal with, (what are most likely) Russian drones. The best way to deal with the source of the threat, of course, is to agree to unfreeze the €180b or so in Russian assets (for aid to Ukraine) that Belgium holds.

Trump is a vindictive bastard, still punishing Zelensky for not digging up dirt on the Bidens, and getting impeached for withholding military aid. Trump may have survived politically, but being embittered, compromised and corrupt is a toxic mix that was never going to bode well.

Pathetic and tragic in equal measure.
The sheer stupidity of the people dominating world politics. The ‘sabotage’ was caused by their own staff’s incompetence and lack of understanding.
Also didn’t occur to them to transfer to the working escalator (theirs stopped while they were at the bottom).

I remember watching a docu on Epstein some years ago and seeing a brief glimpse of Mandelson on his his island. I had to rewind it to check what I’d seen. When he was made Ambassador I thought it was some kind of joke, that anyone could think someone at risk of being blackmailed could be appointed.
