An amendment to sunset the funding bill’s .1% transit payroll tax increase in 2028 seems likely to pass. If it does, transit agencies will benefit from a .2% payroll tax for exactly two years, and lawmakers will be right back where they are now in 2027–staring down a fiscal cliff for public transit.

I don't disagree with the first premise. My point is the second premise (the sex pestery) makes the first premise a boring exercise in an undergraduate feeling compelled to defend their favorite author instead of... reading someone else.

I dunno, is there really a need to resuscitate a guy who in his 40s groomed a teenage girl? Let them have him. There are plenty of other great novelists.
