After an installation, my studio feels empty, and I feel that creeping urge to “do something” just to feel productive.

I’m learning that reflection and quiet are just as essential to the process—and I’ve been trying to embrace that more.

You might not believe me if I told you that in 2012, I was making watercolor paintings. I was using tiny shapes to create landscapes on paper, but somehow the pivot towards cutting tiny shapes out of paper and sewing them together to make 3D constructions felt natural.

Taking apart something I made a while ago to make something new ✨. I’m diving in to explore more texture, layering, and variety—seeing what emerges when pieces are reimagined.
