I wouldn't be here without NSF. I've been close to walking away several times. Each time I thought, "let's just see". I applied for the PRFB and got it! This kick started my research program and increased my competitiveness on TT apps. In short, it motivated me to keep going.

So, I saw fire ant rafts today. You never realize how many colonies are around until it floods. Kind of gross but also kind of cool that they can do this.

I had a lot of fun at the Lafayette Holi Festival this past weekend! This was the 13th year the Acadiana Indian Association has put on this event, and I hope there are many more. It was a beautiful way to share Indian culture.

First baby fish of our mosquitofish toxicity breeding study! Such a special little fish 🥰

This is a follow up to the findings in our recent paper: www.mdpi.com/2305-6304/12...

I've been having some early mornings checking on fish for a toxicity experiment on a greenhouse off campus. Good news is our fish are passing their test with flying colors! Better news is we found this little friend living in our gear. ♥️
