Wow! When I was working with grants 23 years ago the NSF overhead rate was 51%. I have no idea what it is now but it was a major source of funding for my university.

Yes, I've got three paid up subscriptions already but I balked at paying for Paul Krugman so I'm opting for his free column only, which I love. Frankly, I need that $70 more than he does.

My subscription to the Washington Post is running out on 2/15 and I am not renewing, so much as I am disappointed with the NY times I cannot guit them as well.

I already pay for the NYTimes and Heather Cox Richardson as well as a local newspaper. I have signed up for the free subscription to the Contrarian but so far have not been impressed.

My subscription is also cancelled, effective Feb. 25th. It's too bad because I mostly enjoy reading it, but I need to send a message to Bezos and it's the only way I know how (I don't pay for my Amazon Prime as I'm on my son's account).
