If someone is looking for something REALLY specific, and you're not just bringing up your own book every time it's even vaguely related to the question... then you are performing an Important Public Service by bringing up your own book. (But you should bring up other books as well.)

You'd think it would be falsifiable because there are demonstrably nice guys who are not particularly rich or tall or attractive who have great girlfriends, but if you just assume they're all secretly cheating with the people they're actually attracted to, you can make it work!
