I don’t think so.

Fibromyalgia is an imprecise “placeholder” diagnosis until an accurate dx is made, so genome trends of “fibro” pts are in fact of what the accurate dxs are.

MDGA2 codes for (SFN) neuropathy, demyelination.

In the post I summarize the 4 companies that do non-invasive CCTA imaging with A.I. to detect high-risk coronary artery plaque. Medicare just announced reimbursement for >$1,000 for 3 of these algorithms

A horror story of patients suffering needlessly.

Kaiser has 160,000 #MECFS #pwME and not ONE physician
in their entire system w/ add'l current training & years of clinical experience to competently treat this severe
multi-system illness.

160K pts' horrible suffering b/c of KP massive negligence.

That’s unfortunate since historically the UW-Madison campus had sone pioneering neurology researchers.

You might be fascinated by the free PolyBio Symposium November 14. It’s the geekiest symposium I “attend” (virtually) every year and much of is on Long-COVID.

Yes, Long-COVID is the result of residual SARS2 virus still in the body, *and* an immune system that becomes dysregulated and exhausted attempting to kill the virus, but failing. Those are the two pillars of the illness.

HHV6 & EBV In
ME/CFS, Ebola, & Chikungunya create a nearly identical illness.

Hope this information is useful to get better medical care and regain your life..

P.S.: These aren’t my original ideas. I’ve learned from great teachers at OMF, PolyBio, Bateman, Yale, Harvard/Brigham, and many other places.

A big clue as to whether or not the immune system is reacting in an autoimmune way
Is to observe if it settles down after the infections are cleared and the immune system reset button is pushed.

From what I’ve observed, I think it does.

And it’s not really
autoimmune.

The cranked-up
ME/CFS immune system does look a lot like an autoimmune illness.

Some patients do have auto-antibodies.

True, Sjogren’s can develop. Non-MS nerve demyelination happens.

But they appear to be sequelae of the immune system fighting infections.

So, is the immune system in ME/CFS really autoimmune or out-of-control?

I tend to think it’s in full warrior mode fighting to protect your body against an army of pathogens that have destroyed energy production, cognitive thinking, your ability to be active, ride a bike,
walk, or bathe.

Of the 800 patients Ive known, the ones who’ve most fully recovered treated their infections aggressively.

The immune system may settle down all by itself after it doesn’t have so many battles to fight.

But if not, some of the other strategies can work.

My sense is if you want to regain functionality and vitality in your life, and increase your number of Hours of Upright Activity (HUA), you must treat the infections
and repair the damage they’ve
caused to the brain, nerves, blood vessels, epithelium, and gut.
