Just posted a quote from "The Queue" today - excellent. I'd also highly recommend Elif Shafak's "There Are Rivers In the Sky." I could not put it down.

the British Mandate of Palestine, specifically Jerusalem, through the 1920s to WWII period. The story shows what happens to the community as the notion of nationalism and statehood enters the region. Very interesting read! If you want to hear about the beauty of her prose, give my video a listen. :)

If you like weird and kind of dark books, have you tried "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" yet by Czech-author Milan Kundera? It lives rent-free in my head right now. 😂

Also, technically Hemingway was a WWI war correspondent but he did get a Bronze Star awarded to him for his service so I'm including it. (It was my first Hemingway book that I read so it has a special place in my heart.)
