Doing my best to not be another mediocre wasichu. Collapse aware. My opinions are my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of my employers or other organizations with which I am affiliated.
Literally spent a year of college studying the development of modernity. Believe as you like.

It also greatly reified the evolving dynamic of "public" vs "private" space and its concomitant abandonment of authenticity. Also, all the bureaucracy we hate was arguably bolstered by silent reading.

"Ancient times" being basically pre-1700's. The development of silent reading destroyed the power and clout of embodied knowledge and wisdom, grounded in other modes of knowing. It was a necessary precursor to the alienation of labor required by capitalism. Perhaps not the worst if it fades out.

May as well say "illegal shenanigans". What are these, fairy crimes?
April 24, 2024 at 4:13 PM
Yeah. It's sort of a bummer for everything. Almost like it was a bad idea to figure out fission.

Small blessings add up in treatment. That's not too bad as it goes, hope it never gets worse.

I mean speak for yourself, but I'm big on recreational rituximab. You know, just a little on a Saturday afternoon, feel like absolute ass until Wednesday.

Sorry you gotta deal with this on top of needing the treatment. Healthcare here is a nightmare.

Fuck yeah! I just caught up today!
April 24, 2024 at 3:42 AM
It was wildly bright here last night, too. Putting on a heck of a show!

Dungeons & Daddies is probably the closest in tone to Magic Tavern, but Fun City is by a bunch of geniuses.

This is like hearing someone dragging a heavy cart by hand scoff at the pickup truck that drives by.
