An old Michael Kupperman comics in which two cowboys disagree about whether or not comics are "serious literature". 8 of the 10 panels are the two cowboys fighting. In the end, the blonde cowboy in light colors stands before the defeated dark cowboy, unconscious, face down on the ground. People! Definitely DO NOT update your scripts to account for a random simple math problem as the last question that you could probably easily parse and solve once you know you need to look for it.
A very silly attempt at securing a form to volunteer to watch people drown. They have presented a random math problem to prove the submitter is real. You certainly wouldn't want to capture this, split and trim on the middle character as a switch to determine the operation, and then perform it.

We've had just about every kind of visitor. Yesterday, a Northern Flicker came through to appreciate our suet and was joined by someone I don't recognize. I think they realized I was taking pictures.

Zero regrets about getting a de-icer at the start of the cold season. Guessing this is going to be some of the only open water in the neighborhood for a bit.

Does anyone know what kind of raptor this is? Maybe a Northern Harrier? It's been hanging around my backyard in NW Oregon and scaring everyone off from time to time. Been looking through the bird book and can't figure it out. @gettoknownature.bsky.social - do you know?

Not sure what kinda fella this is, but everyone else knew they didn't want to hang around to meet him.
Some sort of raptor with a cream belly and wicked, curved beak sits atop a fence. The bird is puzzled as to where all the smaller birds it intended to eat have gone.

This clever flicker figured out that if it flaps, it can lift the counterweight enough to get at the food.
