Wrote something today that really made me well up... Imagining if someone said it to me how much it would mean, or if I saw it on stage or screen how much I'd appreciate it. While knowing the premise I didn't know what would come out the pen til it was on paper. It feels very meaningful to me.

Bluesky is a now a rare break in some dark clouds. I've always resisted claims that social media is inherently bad, more that it reflects and sometimes amplifies human tendencies. So it can be capable of achieving transformative connection and ground up activism

Gutted for Raducanu 💔 It's a wrench bc she is clearly so v talented. Feel like in recent losses, Sun, Badosa, now Kenin, it was strategy on the day that was the issue. Armchair coach: I don't think she should be left having to readjust so dramatically otd, gameplan going in should be more researched

Some spells are trickier - recently 2 opportunities I applied for announced who else got selected and another sent the rejection email today. Film festival rejections weekly. Even actively working on self belief, to dig deep and carry on, the lack of endorsement from elsewhere is...a lot

Just finished the Decameron and for a while they had me worried but yayyy lesbians. Some classically tragic character journeys too. When backed into a corner not only true but new colours can show. Extremes can exist in one person, especially in a survival situ. Also a v horny show. Orgasm centric.

My current "donations" to film festivals so far (submission fees where we haven't been selected): £116.40. and that's not even a scratch on the surface. Whenever someone has much lower (sub £5) or even free entry I breathe a sigh of relief. Tho I can sympathise with fests needing running costs

Enjoyed Twisters overall, but 2 things 1) Kate's motivation to rejoin the storm chasers. She's supposed to be traumatised, carrying the guilt of people dying on her watch. But one article on tornado damage and she's off. Are her family there? The family of the people who died? Felt shallow & rushed

Wondering how we can get more people over here because the ruin that is X shouldn't be propped up by engagement and user base given the state of what its owner is doing. Changing from within is a nice idea but the platform is dictated by one man with no recognisable moderation. So, what's the plan?
