My completed comic zine!!!. This is the result of months of making comics on and off and then about 2 weeks of feverishly formatting everything before Richmond zinefest! I’m so happy that both friends and strangers were interested enough to pick up copies! I’d like to post my strips online soon :)

Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.

My vacation has been really nice :) it’s weird when you connect with people because you know you’ll never see them again. It’s easier to like strangers when you know they’re very temporary. Maybe it lets my guard down more?

I’ve been reading some popcorn tier books and will acknowledge that they aren’t good/great literature. But I’m glad these sort of romantasy books have people reading in general. It’s a healthy activity for your brain when the alternative is screens that want your eyes and brain to die.

I’ve been watching chiikawa and I like how their lives are a little shitty (have jobs, live in a cave, monsters all over the place) but they still have a nice time :3 inspiring
