We provide a classical simulation of DWave quantum "s-word" paper.
Here it is arxiv.org/abs/2503.08247 , great work by Linda Mauron at the CQS Lab, check it out! (1/4)
Challenging the Quantum Advantage Frontier with Large-Scale Classical Simulations of Annealing Dynamics
Recent demonstrations of D-Wave's annealing-based quantum simulators have established new benchmarks for quantum computational advantage [arXiv:2403.00910]. However, the precise location of the classi...

Stim is a tool for simulating quantum error correction. I made it because previous tools were limited to operating on the abstractions used to make QEC circuits, instead of the circuits themselves.

It took a few years to catch on, but is now common. Used by 198 papers in 2024.

I was thrilled to hear about the surface code when Alexei Kitaev visited @caltech.edu in April 1997. It's heartening to see the hardware catching up with the theory of quantum error correction. There's still far to go but this is encouraging progress.

Quantum Computers Cross Critical Error Threshold | Quanta Magazine
In a first, researchers have shown that adding more “qubits” to a quantum computer can make it more resilient. It’s an essential step on the long road to practical applications.

A stunning declaration of martial law may have only lasted a few hours in South Korea, but it’s a stark reminder that democracy is not self-sustaining

In case you haven't seen it, here's our latest work from Q-CTRL on using #QEC primitives to actually boost the performance of #quantumcomputers!

This is a subtle but important point. Using QEC primitives allows the machine to actually do more, not just demo QEC!

Achieving computational gains with quantum error correction primitives: Generation of long-range entanglement enhanced by error detection
The resource overhead required to achieve net computational benefits from quantum error correction (QEC) limits its utility while current systems remain constrained in size, despite exceptional progre...
