My husband @seugenewinters.bsky.social wrote a DnD campaign for me and our seven year old. As the bard, Wrik Rohl (thanks Reddit), I helped defeat Tronald Dump with repeated bouts of Vicious Mockery with various songs. What a great way to end 2025!

On my year of “reading dangerously”, I am on book 29 out of 24 (my original goal). Enjoying reading again!

“Mais ne lisez pas, comme les enfants lisent, pour vous amuser, ni comme les ambitieux lisent, pour vous instruire. Non, lisez pour vivre.” (Chantepie)

I read this in “The Year of Reading Dangerously” by Andy Miller. It was great to be able to read that in French after being out of practice.

My delightful son just alerted me that he couldn’t skip a commercial. I then informed him about how TV used to work with always having commercials, what we used to do during commercials, and having to be tuned in at a certain time for shows.

“That’s annoying.”

Indeed.

I finished Eve by @catbohannon.bsky.social during Women’s History Month. Excellent read! Still keeping on track with at least two books a month and hoping to breeze through a couple more before this month ends! Thanks to @libro.fm, Libby, and my local libraries for making it happen!

Though a certain ~boycott~ ends tomorrow, indie bookshops need our support all year long.

To achieve true reproductive freedom, we need to include queer, trans, nonbinary and intersex people in the conversation. This #IWD, we’re celebrating aaaallll the trailblazing folks who have tirelessly worked to protect reproductive rights. 💙

Just taught my kid this helpful song based on a TikTok I watched:

“I don’t talk to cops,
Call my mom and dad!”

He said it was very catchy. Teach kids self advocacy young.

Will be participating in the general strike on Friday by not making any purchases, but that’s most days for me so it doesn’t feel incredibly impactful on a personal level. I hope we see nationwide effects! I’ve heard the labor strike is March 14th. Will you be participating?

There’s an immigrant taking people’s jobs… his name is Elon Musk. He’s snatching farms, government jobs (even those in which they manage our national security), and definitely those whose jobs are to root out fraud (inspector generals),

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too.

EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them.
