100%!!! There is a reason why the extended family meal we have for my husband's family at Christmas is catered every year. We can't foist 15+ people on someone and expect it to be easy!

We don't do holidays with extended family anymore for various reasons, but man i do miss that meal. It was always delicious!

Of course, since this is the internet, no, I'm not expecting everyone to be expert chefs, and yes there are always factors preventing people from being able to cook or learn to do so, but this is not what I'm talking about here and bringing that up would be a bad faith response.

There is legend in my family of one year my aunt attempting to make a turkey like one would make kalua pork; but not knowing the difference and instead using Kahlua - it was so bad that my parents decided that they would handle Thanksgiving from then on.

Aunt was much better at the Xmas roast!!!

Can I add on: i hate the recent trend of having NA spirits in mocktails? If I wanted that I would just fucking drink booze. Like I'm glad they exist for people who want that but like... not everyone does, y'all.
