Because it’s literal icons, you see.

Said goodbye to our beautiful, clever, friendly, silly, caring, wonderful Frankie. There will never be another like this special, remarkable cat.

It’s too soon, especially only two months after Flicka.

Traditional post-SDCC solo dinner to decompress. My favorite con survival tradition.

New absolutely unhinged Halloween decoration skeleton of an animal without an actual skeleton just dropped.

Love when the journalists let themselves get sassy.

Said goodbye to my marvelous, silly, anxious, loving, gorgeous, sweet Flicka yesterday. I will love my best girl forever.

First year since 2012 that I haven’t worked Free Comic Book Day, but I had to stop by @capecowlcomics.bsky.social to pick up some books and donate to the annual food drive. Truly this is the best community!!!

Managed to get Queen Bee today, despite being annoyed that they didn’t accept Gondor.

Reminder that Flicka has better eyeliner than anyone you’ve ever met.

I cannot believe it took me, massive musical theater nerd that I am, TEN YEARS to realize @joequinones.bsky.social put a playbill for Bye Bye Birdie on that first Howard the Duck cover. Spectacular!

I still have trouble accepting that the Brimpception saga was ELEVEN years ago!!!

Gov. Mills is absolutely standing up to Trump and defending trans people in her state, but she didn't say this.

I know we all desperately need hope right now, but we need to get better at identifying misinformation and checking sources before we share.

I got out of the habit of calling representatives in the first half of Biden’s term, but I picked it back up to advocate for a ceasefire. Those citizen phone call muscles aren’t going to feel unused for a long time.

The problem with getting a wonderful new mattress is that no one wants to get up ever again.

Jules Feiffer wrote and illustrated The Man in the Ceiling, my all-time favorite piece of fiction about a cartoonist, artistic integrity, and perseverance.

I can’t say all of it aged well, but I first read this book when I was maybe ten and it had a profound impact. The end still makes me cry.

To Jules Feiffer,

Thank you, thank you, thank you,
for your priceless,
for your precious,
for your peerless,
for your perfect
gift.
