I know we all desperately need hope right now, but we need to get better at identifying misinformation and checking sources before we share.

I got out of the habit of calling representatives in the first half of Biden’s term, but I picked it back up to advocate for a ceasefire. Those citizen phone call muscles aren’t going to feel unused for a long time.

Jules Feiffer wrote and illustrated The Man in the Ceiling, my all-time favorite piece of fiction about a cartoonist, artistic integrity, and perseverance.
I can’t say all of it aged well, but I first read this book when I was maybe ten and it had a profound impact. The end still makes me cry.
