I dabbled with a friend’s S-Berger bass and they were really interesting until you played it. Carbon and resin, weird pickups.
I have to have a stop for my hand/thumb, otherwise I don’t fret well from 1-3 on the neck. The head is functional.

I’m barely talented enough for standard and I learned to play using a book of actual chords, so leaving standard (or drop D) makes it a different instrument.

I’m trying to talk myself out of a Bass VI with some fun money I have. The alternative is buying M a Squier Jaguar bass. She’s playing a $40 Craigslist Bronco now and sounds great, I feel like she could use an upgrade.

I suspect the sphincter in the spout combined with the reflex of the bottle to go back into shape creates a steady vacuum that stops the drips as you squeeze it.
