It was probably because his hair was getting shaggy, and you mistook him for a member of the band.

We have a little dude that followed my daughter home from the local park three years ago on Thanksgiving. And I often catch him napping under our Christmas tree. And I wonder if he does it because it reminds him of when he lived outside.

Lucky. I'm still on the wait-list to be pulped. It's taking forever.

I worked for several years in college in a meat market. The meat slicer was a constant source of anxiety. And yes, I did witness several people slice a bit of fingertip off because they weren't paying close enough attention (including myself). Talk about immediate regret...

I use power tools a lot, and the last thing you want is your angle grinder spinning up while changing a wheel because you accidentally hit the power switch.

The immersion blender thing happened to a friend two weeks ago. It was new, she wasn't used to it, and now has a dozen stiches in her finger.

When working with a power tool, if you are going to adjust or change something, unplug it. Only a few extra seconds to greatly minimize the chance of injury. And remember, any kitchen gadget that plugs into the wall is a power tool.

Clearing something out of your immersion blender? Unplug it first.
