The premise ‘it’s good to have free thought’ is as old as The Prisoner, but it’s unclear how the show is framing this yet, like, what are they getting at?

Up to the third episode (kinda against my will). There are some new wrinkles that come in after the pilot but it still makes me feel unpleasant in ways I find difficult to describe. I’m having a hard time giving it the benefit of the doubt while they slow roll it out
