That a soldier got drunk on leave and got an ill-advised tattoo with his fellow servicemen does not a Nazi make. The fact that he was not concerned about hiding it can also suggest he did not see it as a SS badge.

His interview on Pod Save America seemed reasonable enough. It's wild that people are so convinced by the oppo research from *checks notes* his 78 year old opponent's backers.

No one here has a bigger problem with the Dem party throwing a vet under the bus because "it's not his turn?"

Yes, and the Patriot Act. It's long seemed evident that security is a great excuse to consolidate power at the cost of liberty.

The war on terror enabled the worst excesses of our country's power and laid the groundwork for our modern security state which may soon be turned on its own people.

I think Klein's point is more that there are still likely points of agreement with maga people that we can find, and if we just focus on how they're our enemy things can only get worse.
