I try so hard to be mindful about enjoying each stage and not just wishing for the next, but man am I ready for my kid to walk unassisted. I just feel like she’s have more fun when I take her places. I am simply too excited about walking and spend so much time encouraging cruising for that reason.

Sometimes when my kid is being especially whiny I think about how Kate gosselin had 8 kids whining at her all at once probably pretty often, and honestly I think she should have been meaner to her husband. Justice for Kate.

Going bathing suit shopping post baby has made me feel so happy that I showed my body off before I became a mom and only strengthened my resolve to continue to do so so that old me can be happy i showed it all off while I was still young

The learning the dance phase is the most silly because my child can be doing literally anything, throwing a fit even, and she will stop to bounce along to music if you play it.

Capitalism is crazy because pediatric OTs are like please stop buying all of these containers for your baby because they are bad for their development and can be dangerous, but you can walk into any target and buy them bc a company’s right to profit is more important than children’s right to develop

I love how far we’ve cone for women bc any time I mention I got up early with the whoever I’m talking to immediately starts asking why my husband didn’t get up instead. And, while it was my turn, I have to agree it’s not a good look for him.

I’m a freak because when I get something on fb marketplace, especially for a killer deal, sometimes I want to message the seller and tell them how much I love their grandmothers table but I don’t because that would for sure be weird

People think you need a ton of space to host, but our friends happily pack into our 900 square foot house to hang out despite us having the smallest one out of all our friends.

Ppl on the internet made it sound like it would be physically impossible, tantamount to torture even, to care for a kid without an iPad, but I’ve sat in front of the washing machine with mine for the last half an hour while she contently watches it spin around and plays with my unfolded clothes.

I can’t believe being a parent isn’t more of a radicalizing experience for more people. Like the pediatrician will all but discourage you to forego vaccines that insurance might not cover and will make you sign paperwork saying you’ll pay up if it doesn’t. What are the single moms supposed to do??

Obviously greedflation is crazy, but I do love to clown on ppl who post hauls from the store complaining about the cost of “essentials,” and it’s like a bunch of luxury items. Like you have no survival instincts if you can’t figure out how to not buy $13 deodorant or how to live w/o paper towels.
