i may be biased as i am currently trying to quit vaping, but i think this is probably a historically challenging time to try to quit nicotine. just psychologically like people have picked up the habit again from WAY less than public executions.

my mom does this really fun thing where she will refuse to go to the doctor because they will weigh her and she thinks she's fat. then, after she goes she tells me how terrible it was because she weighs [10 pounds less than me] lbs.

sandy hook happened when i was 9, so the threat of school shootings has loomed over most of my educational career.
until this year, i was never afraid that a paramilitary force that kidnaps minorities would raid my classroom. i am now.
at least we're allowed to throw books at the shooter.
