Ok, they both finished their 110th lap, even 5 minute faster than average. That means they're *at* world record. One more lap and one of them has it.

Quirk of the rules: the winner (technically, the only one to finish the race) is the person who runs a loop alone (one more after the second quits)

I had to give a workshop to people just starting out their CS education. I showed them some C++ out of bounds shenanigans, and, even without knowing how to program, they instinctively were horrified.
